Inspiration comes from many different places.
For this writer, it comes from my own personal experiences and from the connections I have made over the years. Especially, from the people whom I have gotten to know personally through my fitness classes. Wow, those people have some amazing stories. I don’t use their whole story but sometimes certain things they mention that have happened I lock in on and say to myself, that is so book worthy. My mind immediately start grinding those gears and I can come up with a great main idea. From there I can build around my character whom I got this idea for. Right now for me its Native American women who find the love of their lives. For me, I am that Native American woman who loves passion and is very creative in my own way. I love the land and I am all about peace. I love an attractive man and who doesn’t unless well you know, you don’t.
I am a very creative person in that I love to make quilts as well. I love how I can find the main fabric and do a little dance with the fabrics to pick out the right ones to bring out certain colors and mix little textures with it. Just like writing a book. It all those little details sewn together that makes such an interesting story. People are very interesting if you just listen to them. All the fun adventures they have been on and not so good ones. It’s the not so good ones that really add to the character of a person and adds meat to the story. It’s how that character come out of it alive or do they? That is what is so fun about writing fantasy, you can make the outcome be whatever you want it to be.
In life, you can write your own story, I have seen it so many times with people. It may start off as fantasy but then that individual has made they dreams come true in real life. Again, for me this started out as fantasy writing and the dream of making it come true. It has been building from there. Everything I see and hear because part of me and a character that I can see with that happening to and oh what fun it is to be on this journey with them and with you.
